Happy New Year!! 2009

Happy New Year-----its already February.  Whew, the new year blew in and is well underway.  We enjoyed our holidays with our family.  Even managed to get a family picture taken.  Jaren was the only one unable to be with us.  We did our  traditional Christmas Eve at McDonald's.  Everyone contributed recipe's so Patti & I could put together cookbooks for all the adults.  In the future, we hope to add to it.  Major thank you's to Patti for getting them formatted and printed.  Also for the really awesome book covers.  

We've had some birthday's, and some special events so far this year.  Jenna was baptized on Valentine's day.  Adam gave Jenna a very special blessing.  She looked so beautiful in her baptism dress.  After the baptism, we all went over to Patti & Adam's for snacks.  Very tasty!!  On Sunday the 15th, Alex was ordained as a teacher by his Dad.  Rob gave Alex a very special blessing as well.  It was also Alex's birthday. He is now 14!!!

We are so blessed to have such an awesome family.  We are so proud of them all.  The grandkids are all doing well in school.  It won't be long and we will be welcoming another little Hamel into the world.  (great grandchild)  Derek & Lisa will be proud new parents in May.  Very excited for them.

All the kids are growing up so fast.  Little Cooper turned a year in December.  What a cutie he is. Loves to keep busy!!  Miss Lilli will soon turn 3 months old.  She smiles a lot and is so pretty.   

Spoke to Tami today and all is well in Savannah.  She and Traeci keep really busy.  Traeci's daughter Hannah is having a birthday party on Saturday at the park.  Sounds like it will be a lot of fun.  

Jim is feeling much better these days.  Really glad for that.  Bret is doing great recovering from his pulmonary embellism he had last September.  Except for some colds, sinus, and misc. ailments, the rest of the family is in good health and doing well.

Jon started a new job last week with a property management company.  So far so good.  They keep him pretty busy.   

I haven't been to good about keeping up on this blog thing.  Hopefully I will get much better.
